This photo was captured in Toscolano Maderno, a small town by Lago di Garda.
It was a quiet evening, and this bird just stood there on a pole, perfectly still.
The light was soft, the air was warm, and I liked how peaceful everything felt.
Song that fits the mood:
“Visions of Gideon” by Sufjan Stevens
(From Call Me By Your Name, which was partly filmed near Lago di Garda)
Just moments before the bird settled on the pole, it had been flying low over the lake. It passed an old couple — the man reading to his wife, gesturing in that typically eccentric Italian way, while she looked at him with a small smile playing on her lips. A boy was skipping stones into the water as his parents whispered excitedly behind him, their voices low and secretive. A dog barked at its own reflection, while its owner sat nearby on the rocks, a small frown on her face as she considered a decision she didn’t want to make. The bird saw all of this — just glimpses of small moments that were part of much bigger stories.
Printed on classic, uncoated matte paper — smooth, non-reflective, and chosen for its timeless feel. Sustainably sourced and made to last.
