West Village Light

I took this photo outside Café Cluny in West Village, New York. I walked by during a fairly quiet moment on an otherwise busy street. There’s something dreamy about it, but it’s still New York — I like that mix.

Just moments after this photo was taken, a young couple sat down for their first date. She thought he was ridiculously handsome and quite charming — although maybe a bit braggy. He was so captivated by her big eyes and radiating energy that he barely knew what he was saying. They shared a coffee and a tarte au citron meringuée, both nervous and excited. When they parted, they had all the jitters of a really good first date.
